Getting there

  • Buses stop on Greenlane Road by the Showgrounds (route 007), and on Manukau Road just before Greenlane Road (the Outer Link and buses from Britomart and Midtown via Newmarket). Greenlane train station is about a 25 to 30 minute walk.
  • Parking on the grounds is $20 as you drive in, and limited. Armageddon suggests coming off the Southern Motorway at Market Road and entering from Campbell Crescent.
  • Tickets are scanned from your phone, no printing needed. Bought online? Use the Pre-sale tickets queue at the main entrance. Door sales are very limited.

Accessibility

  • Armageddon says all its venues are fully accessible for wheelchair users.
  • Armageddon recognises the Hāpai Access Card. If your card shows the +1 icon, your carer gets in free with a general entry ticket. Wearing the card on a lanyard helps staff see it.

Good to know

  • There's no cloakroom: keep valuables with you or leave them at home.
  • Under-5s get in free; child tickets are for ages 5 to 12.
  • Smoke-free, and no vapes, drones, skateboards, scooters, roller skates, helium balloons or loose glitter.
  • Photos are fine, but no filming of panels.

Money: cash and cards

  • Tickets at the door and autograph and photo tokens are card and contactless only (no cash). Contactless payments have a 2.5% surcharge.
  • Exhibitors still take cash, and Armageddon says there's a place to get cash out inside.

  • Cosplay is not consent: ask before taking anyone's photo, and respect a no.
