Getting there

  • AWA is in Building C of the Georgia World Congress Center. AWA suggests MARTA or a rideshare to skip traffic and parking. The nearest MARTA rail stop is SEC District station.
  • Driving? Book parking ahead through AWA's SpotHero page or GWCC's own parking site. GWCC has several passenger drop-off areas.
  • Pick up your badge at the online registration booths: Wednesday 4 to 8 pm (multi-day badges only), Thursday to Saturday 9 am to 10 pm, Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Bring your Eventeny QR code (a screenshot works) and photo ID. Kids without ID need an adult to pick up their badge. Mailed badges go out about two weeks before the con.

Accessibility

  • The Accessibility Booth is on the first floor next to Registration. It gives assistance stickers to anyone with a disability, visible or not, and to pregnant attendees, plus one companion sticker.
  • It's best to email accessibility@awa-con.com before the con about what you need. Sign language interpreters are by request, by email ahead of time.
  • Panel rooms have marked seats and wheelchair spaces; ask staff for an end-of-row or front seat. Space is limited, so come early.
  • In autograph lines, someone in your group can hold your place while you wait in the seating area.
  • Free manual wheelchairs are lent from GWCC's information desk with photo ID, first come, first served. Scooters can be rented ahead from Mobility Georgia (470-357-6130) and picked up at the FedEx Office in the Building C lobby.
  • All of GWCC's entrances, toilets and halls are wheelchair accessible, and the elevators reach every level. There's accessible parking.
  • Trained service dogs are welcome; emotional support animals and pets aren't. Please don't pet a service dog.

Good to know

  • Wear your badge where it can be seen in con spaces. Kids 10 and under get in free with a paying adult.
  • 18+ events need an 18+ wristband and a government photo ID (not a photo of one). Under 18s can't go in, even with a parent.
  • Ask crew before taking a guest's photo. Most guests only sign official, licensed merchandise.
  • No sleeping in public areas, and keep hallways, stairs and doorways clear.
  • For GWCC's Wi-Fi, join GWCCWIFI and pick a Quick Connect option. Lost something? Ask GWCC security or guest services, or use GWCC's lost and found page.

Cosplay and props

  • Take props to Prop Check across from Registration to be peace-bonded. Props must be under 7 feet (2 m) and 15 lb (7 kg).
  • No metal blades, even in a case (blades you buy stay sealed), no wooden or metal bats or batons, and no real firearms.
  • Bows and crossbows unstrung. Airsoft, BB and Nerf guns need orange tips and stripes, no ammo or magazine, and a plugged barrel.
  • Shoes on at all times. No roller skates, skateboards, stilts, leashes or metal chains, and no costumes that look like police or medical staff.

Safety and LGBTQ+ fans

  • AWA's rules say harassment is defined by the person targeted: anything intimidating, hostile or offensive. If someone asks you to stop or leave them alone, you stop. No consent means no.
  • The rules don't name gender identity or sexual orientation. The dress code applies the same to all genders.
  • To report something, ask any crew member to help you find Public Safety, GWCC Security or the police, or email dps@awa-con.com. Public Safety is open 24 hours from Thursday to Sunday at 5 pm.
