Accessibility
- For access help, go to the Merchandise Booth at the main entrance.
- If you need assistance, you can bring one medical companion free; they get the same access as you.
- Panel seating is first come, first served, so arrive 15 minutes early. Only a VIP pass skips autograph lines.
- Automatic doors and a ramp at the main entrances; lifts and escalators to the upper levels.
- Frightmare doesn't rent wheelchairs, walkers or canes, so bring your own.
- Service animals are welcome on a leash or under similar control; Frightmare asks for certification and an identifying vest.
- Sign-language interpreters for panels had to be asked for two weeks ahead; they can't be arranged on the day.
Good to know
- You can leave and come back, though lines may slow you down.
- Children 6 and under get in free (up to two per adult ticket) and must be with an adult.
- No smoking in the venue. Free Wi-Fi in its public spaces.
- Lost property: ask at the venue's Box Office, Security or Guest Services desk (kept 30 days).
- All ticket sales are final.
Money: cash and cards
- Bring cash: autographs are cash only, bought from each guest's table in Celebrity Row. Each guest sets their own prices.
- Canadian and US cash are both taken, US at par.
- There are ATMs, but they get very busy.
- Parking is card or debit only.
Cosplay and props
- No working weapons. Costume weapons must be checked and tagged at the Weapons Check Desk outside the main hall.
- Projectile props must be made unable to fire, and costume swords tied so they can't be drawn.
- Shoes are a must, and no revealing or offensive costumes.
Food and water
- Food and drink are sold in the venue's lobby areas, and BarCoffee Café near Guest Services has coffee and light bites.
- The venue doesn't allow outside food and drink.
- No food or drink in the panel rooms or the Main Events room: water bottles only.
- The building has water fountains where you can refill a bottle.
- We couldn't find dietary options, allergen information or an outside-food exception for medical needs listed by Frightmare or the convention centre: if you need one, ask the venue before you go.
Toilets
- The venue has eight accessible washrooms with automatic door openers.
- We couldn't find gender-neutral toilets listed by Frightmare in the Falls or the Niagara Falls Convention Centre.
Quiet rooms and help
- The venue is Certified Sensory Inclusive by KultureCity: it has quiet spaces and lends sensory bags (noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools and communication aids).
- Ask the venue's Guest Services for a sensory bag.
Safety and LGBTQ+ fans
- Frightmare has zero tolerance for violence and sexual harassment. Harassment covers assault, verbal harassment, stalking, unwanted contact and inappropriate photos.
- Its policy doesn't mention gender identity or sexual orientation.
- To report harassment, go to show security straight away; they investigate every report. The venue's security line is 905-357-7005.
- Ask before taking anyone's photo (ask a parent for children), and take no for an answer.
