Getting there
- MAX Red, Green and Blue Lines stop right by the convention center; the Yellow Line stops about two blocks away. The Red Line runs straight from Portland Airport.
- The underground garage is entered from NE Lloyd Blvd (P1) or NE First Ave (P2): $15 to $25 a day, cards or touchless only, no overnight parking.
- Drop-off and pick-up zones are on NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and Holladay Street. Bike parking is free, in the garage and outside the main entrances.
- Everyone needs valid government photo ID to pick up a badge or register. Single-day badges go on sale at the door at 8am each day.

Accessibility
- Kumoricon's accessibility page still describes 2025, so email accessibility@kumoricon.org to check this year's plans. Last year there was an optional access sticker for your badge, priority sections in lines, marked priority seating in panels and halls, and an Accessibility Info Desk.
- Canes, walkers, wheelchairs and scooters don't need peace-bonding (sword canes and other built-in weapons do).
- The convention center lends wheelchairs and scooters free: first come, first served or booked up to 30 days ahead. Bring photo ID to the welcome desk in the MLK Lobby.
- Every lobby entrance has automatic doors and a flush threshold, and lifts reach every level. Accessible parking: 10 spaces on P1 and 11 on P2 (9-foot clearance), near the lifts.
- Service animals are welcome; pets and emotional support, therapy or comfort animals aren't.
- ASL and captions aren't guaranteed: ask accessibility@kumoricon.org. Events with flashing lights have warning signs.

Good to know
- Under 18s need a signed parent permission form, and under 13s must be with a parent or guardian all the time. Under 18s must leave con space from midnight to 6am, even with a parent.
- Kids 5 and under get in free; 6 to 12 year olds pay less.
- 18+ events need a hand stamp from the Programming Office: show your badge and government photo ID there (not at the event door).
- No smoking or vaping, including within 25 feet of any entrance.
- No photos in viewing rooms, Artist Alley, Small Press or the Art Show unless the artist says yes.
- The free Guidebook app has the schedule and maps.

Cosplay and props
- Props that are or look dangerous must be peace-bonded when you arrive (or when you buy them in KumoriMarket): sign a safe-carry form and staff add a peace-tie. Late in the evening, go to the Operations Office.
- Not allowed: real guns or ammo, live steel, working projectile weapons or toys, paddles, strings on bows or slingshots, and props too big for the crowds.
- Prop guns need a bright orange tip and mustn't look real from 10 feet; anything that could fire must be made permanently unable to. Keep guns and blades holstered or sheathed except for photos.
- Costume coverage rules are the same for every gender; no sheer or painted-on coverage. Wear shoes with a firm sole, and nothing vulgar or sexual.
Food and water
- Kumoricon suggests packing snacks.
- We couldn't find dietary options or water refill stations listed by Kumoricon or the Oregon Convention Center.
Toilets
- The convention center has family and all-user restrooms, and every public restroom has automatic doors.
- Last year Kumoricon listed fully accessible single-user restrooms open to all genders, and labelled gender-neutral restrooms in Halls A, C and D and Pre-Function D and E.

Quiet rooms and help
- Last year the AFK (Away From Kumo) room in Lobby D was a quiet place for a break, with low light, earplugs and quiet activities (no sleeping).
- Two private Mamava nursing suites are on Level 1, near Meeting Rooms A and E. Open them with the Mamava app, or get a code from the Level 2 Administration Office or by calling 503-235-7575.

Safety and LGBTQ+ fans
- Kumoricon's code of conduct bans harassment and anything that disrupts someone else's con, including unwanted touching, threats and heckling. It doesn't name gender identity or sexual orientation.
- Don't photograph anyone who asks you not to or whose body language says no.
- To report harassment or anything unwanted, go to the Operations Office as soon as you can.
