Getting there

  • M.A.G.E. is at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis. Hotel parking is $18 a day; downtown parking is tight, so you may need a paid ramp nearby. You can book a space ahead through ParkWhiz.
  • For a discounted parking rate, pick up a sticker at Convention Operations, put it on the back of your parking voucher and scan both sides as you leave.
  • Badges aren't mailed: pick yours up at the registration desk. Pre-registered and at-the-door buyers have separate lines, and please bring photo ID if you pre-registered.

  • Photos and recordings of guests only with their permission; at busy times you may be asked to wait.
  • Smoking only in the hotel's own smoking areas.
  • Your badge isn't legal ID: bring a driver's license or state ID for anything age-restricted.

Money: cash and cards

  • Badges bought at the con are cash only, so bring cash if you're buying at the door. Online registration takes cards and stays open during the con.
  • Some guests charge for autographs, and some sell signed photos, DVDs and comics.

Quiet rooms and help

  • Con Ops has an information desk and staff who can help with anything during the con.
  • Room parties are all kept on one hotel floor, so the rest of the hotel stays quiet for people who want to sleep.

Safety and LGBTQ+ fans

  • M.A.G.E.'s rule is simple: if it makes someone feel uncomfortable, it's not okay here. That covers unwanted touching, intimidation, unwelcome sexual comments or advances, leering, demeaning comments and jokes. The policy doesn't name gender identity or sexual orientation.
  • To report harassment, go to the Operations Room (Con Ops). Any staff member can walk you there, and staff can help you call the police if you fear for your safety.
  • Honest reports are never punished, even if they turn out to be mistaken.
