Getting there

  • Elizabeth line or DLR to Custom House for the West entrance; DLR to Prince Regent for the East entrance. Both stations are step-free.
  • Collecting your badge at the show? Follow the signs to the Queue Hall via the North Lorryway. With a badge already, you can use the West, East or Undercroft entrance.
  • ExCeL's car park is sold out for MCM. Its height limit is 1.9 m.

Tickets and entry

  • Priority, Weekend and VIP tickets get in early: from 10am Friday, 9am Saturday and 10am Sunday. General tickets get in at 12 noon Friday, 11am Saturday and 12 noon Sunday, so anything before that is for early-entry tickets only.
  • Friday's After Hours, until 9pm, is included in tickets.
  • Main Stage and Capital Stage panels, and some meet and greets, author sessions and performances, take reservations. Book on MCM's Reservations page with a ticket for that day (up to 2 seats a session; 1 for After Hours and Critical Role) and scan the QR code from your email at the door.
  • With a reservation, arrive at least 30 minutes early for the Main Stage and 15 minutes for other stages, or your seat may not be held. Can't go? Tell MCM's customer service so someone else gets the seat.
  • No reservation? Arrive early (around half an hour for celebrity panels). If a panel is full, check whether it's streamed to another stage.
  • Kids 4 and under can sit with a parent without a reservation; ages 5 to 10 need a Kids ticket to reserve their own seat.

Accessibility

  • Special assistance stickers at the Accessibility Check-In desk by the West Entrance (a second desk with a fast-track entrance is in the Queue Hall). They give special assistance entry lines, the Main Stage assistance queue, and extra support for autographs and photo ops, for carers and the people they support, visible or hidden disabilities (plus one), and people with a baby.
  • You don't need to bring paperwork for a sticker: just ask at an Accessibility desk. The free Essential Companion (+1) pass is different: register first with MCM's Access Registration through Nimbus, then add it when you buy your ticket.
  • MCM says every area can be reached by lift (except the organisers' upper offices), so the Quiet Room (North Gallery Room 16) and Reset Room (Platinum Suite) are step-free. Lifts fit a wheelchair user and one more person, with braille and tactile buttons.
  • ExCeL lends wheelchairs and mobility scooters free, but very few. Scooters can be booked ahead at mobility.excel.london; wheelchairs can't.
  • Extra seating in hall S8, reserved seating at every stage (first come, first served) and special assistance seating in the photo and autograph area.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome; no other pets.

  • You can leave and come back with your physical ticket, but not in the last hour before closing.
  • No bag size limit, and MCM has its own cloakroom (a small fee on the day).
  • Free Wi-Fi, slow at busy times: open your plan before you arrive and it's saved on your phone.
  • No smoking or vaping inside. Lost property: lostpropertyenquiries@excel.london (kept 30 days).
  • Clocks go back an hour overnight Saturday to Sunday: at 2am on Sunday 25 October, UK clocks go back to 1am.

Money: cash and cards

  • Bring some cash: exhibitors and artists choose how they take payment, and autographs at a guest's table can be cash only. ExCeL's own food outlets are card-only.
  • Cash machines: on the Boulevard between entrances N6 and S6, and on level 0 between N4 and S4 (Barclays and Note). If they run out, there's one at the nearby Tesco Express.
  • Contactless cards and phones work for pay as you go on the DLR and Elizabeth line (many cards from outside the UK too). Touch in and out with the same card or phone.

Cosplay and props

  • Prop firearms are checked every day at the prop check near the show entrance.
  • Props up to 150 cm (180 cm for a narrow staff or spear), and no metal blades, sharp or blunt.
  • Foam weapons with a core, and props of lightweight wood, foam, card or 3D print, are fine. Only prop firearms go through the prop check; security can stop anything that breaks the rules on the day.
  • Costumes up to 2.5 m between any two points. A bulky costume or one with hard parts, such as big wings, needs a guide with you. Questions about a prop: MCMcosplay@reedpop.com.
  • We couldn't find changing rooms listed by MCM or ExCeL. Cloakrooms are on level 0 (a small fee); we couldn't find whether they take large costume pieces.

Food and water

  • Food and drink all around the venue: street food, noodles and sushi, burgers, burritos, poke, coffee and more. ExCeL's own outlets don't take cash.
  • You can bring your own food and drink (no alcohol).
  • Special diets: several ExCeL outlets have gluten-free food, and the filter on ExCeL's food and drink page lets you look for vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options.
  • Halal: ExCeL lists Baba Dhaba as halal (and vegan and vegetarian), BAKED BIRD says all its chicken is halal, and Bagel Factory is halal-friendly. Vegan: BUN., Chozen Noodle, Viva Burrito and Wrapid too. Check what's open on the day.
  • We couldn't find allergen or nut information on ExCeL's pages: ask at the counter before you order.
  • Free water refill points by halls S4 and S7, and more by the East and West Entrances.
