Getting there

  • The NEC is about a five-minute walk from Birmingham International station (about 10 minutes on the shared cycle and footpath route).
  • From Birmingham Airport, the free Air-Rail Link from Terminal 1 runs every two minutes to Birmingham International, then walk straight through to the NEC.
  • For local buses, the NEC points to Network West Midlands' journey planner.
  • Taxis drop off at the Piazza drop-off and pick-up area or the Atrium entrance; taxi ranks are at the main entrances. If you have access needs, the NEC can let your car or taxi through to the drop-off point closest to the venue: tell the gate staff.

Parking

  • The NEC has over 16,500 parking spaces; electronic signs point you to a car park as you arrive.
  • Booking ahead saves £5 on the standard rate if you book before midnight the day before.
  • Parking is cashless: card or phone only. Without a booking, pay before you leave.
  • Accessible spaces are first come, first served, booked or not. The NEC may check Blue Badges.
  • Motorbikes park free (not in the Express car parks).

Good to know

  • Cloakrooms are next to each hall: £2 a coat and £3 a bag. They open 30 minutes before the show and close when it closes; nothing can be left overnight.
  • You may be searched; declining a search or carrying offensive weapons can get you refused entry.
  • New entries stop an hour before the show closes, and there's no re-entry in the last 30 minutes.
