Getting there
- Parking is free: nearly 4,000 spaces in street-level lots right next to the convention center's entrances.
- Hampton Roads Transit buses serve the area; the Hampton Transit Center is at 2 W Pembroke Ave, near downtown.
- Pick up your badge at the southeast entrance by Hall C, next to the parking lot. After that, go in through Hall C or the doors nearest the Embassy Suites; the front doors are exit only.
- Badges can be paid for in cash or by card at the door, but paying online first makes check-in faster.

Accessibility
- If you have a physical disability, staff will point you to the most convenient door.
- Service animals are welcome under the ADA; emotional support animals aren't covered. Staff may only ask whether the animal is needed because of a disability and what task it's trained for; no vest or ID is needed.
- Need to bring a bag into the dance for medical or access reasons? Go to Con Ops in Ballroom D at least 2 hours before.
Good to know
- Children 12 and under must be with an adult, and so must anyone 13 or older without legal ID.
- From 2026, a NekoCon wristband is needed for all 18+ content and areas; get one with ID at Registration, prop check or the info booth.
- Wear your badge where it can be seen. A lost badge has to be bought again at full price.
- No photos in Artist Alley or the Exhibit Hall, or within six feet of their doors.
- No smoking or vaping inside or right by the doors: use the outdoor smoking areas.
- Autographs: up to two items per guest.
Cosplay and props
- Take every prop to the Weapons Check station before you go in; approved props are tagged or peace-bonded. Don't tamper with the bond.
- No live steel or anything that can be sharpened. Blunt metal and smooth wooden props may be approved.
- Replica guns need a permanent blaze-orange tip and must be empty (no batteries, gas or ammo). Nerf blasters only with all darts removed. Bows and crossbows unstrung.
- No laser pointers, tasers, stun guns, fireworks or chemical devices.
- It's a family-friendly con: costumes must fully cover private areas, and no changing in public. Masks are fine unless they're unsafe. Seal body paint. Costumes over 8 feet or 60 pounds: ask staff ahead.
Food and water
- Outside food and drink aren't allowed in the convention center, except water bottles.
- No food or drink in the dance; water stations are provided there.
- We couldn't find dietary options listed by NekoCon or the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
Toilets
- We couldn't find gender-neutral toilets listed by NekoCon or the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
Quiet rooms and help
- Con Ops is in Ballroom D, and lost and found is there too (lost badges: ask at Registration first).
- The convention center's Public Safety Office is on 757-315-1632. In an emergency, call 911.

- To report harassment, find a staff member (STAFF badges hang vertically) or Con Safety, or email hr@nekocon.com. Retaliation against anyone who reports is banned.
