Getting there
- The Detroit People Mover is free to ride and has a station inside Huntington Place. Over the con it runs until midnight on Thursday, 2am on Friday and Saturday, and 10pm on Sunday.
- Huntington Place has two garages: the Roof-top Garage on Congress Street, with direct access to the building, and the Washington Garage underneath it. Pay by card, Apple Pay or tap; no overnight parking.
- SMART FAST express buses run to downtown for $2, and the Michigan Ave route starts at Detroit Metro Airport.
- Badge pickup and sales are in Hall D on Level 2. Bring a physical government photo ID that matches your registered name and your QR code (printed or on your phone).
- Registration opens Thursday 5 to 9pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 9pm, and Sunday 10am to 2pm. Thursday and Friday lines are the longest, sometimes over three hours, so come early.

Accessibility
- Accessibility badge identifiers are given out at the Accessible Line at Registration in Hall D (not during pre-registration). Help is at Con Ops in Room 329, where the Accessibility Coordinator works.
- You can bring one companion or helper; they need their own badge and should check in with you.
- With an identifier, you can shop the Marketplace in Hall C before it opens to everyone else (from 12:30pm Friday, 10am Saturday and Sunday).
- In autograph lines, wait somewhere seated while a friend or staff member holds your place: check in near the autograph area in Hall C.
- Panel seating is first come, first served. For early entry, ask the badge checker outside the room and arrive 15 to 20 minutes early; for more help, go to Con Ops at least 30 minutes before.
- Huntington Place has a limited number of wheelchairs, first come, first served, from the concourse Information Desk; bring ID.
- Accessible entrances on Congress Street (with lifts, by the garage), by the Washington Boulevard turnabout and on Atwater Street, all with automatic doors. Accessible parking, including van spaces, in both garages.
- Trained service animals are welcome (Huntington Place asks you to register them with its Security first by calling (313) 844-8281); emotional support animals aren't allowed on the con floor.

Good to know
- Children under 12 must be with a parent or guardian all the time. Teens 13 to 17 coming on their own need a completed 2026 Parental Consent Form to pick up a badge and attend.
- Some programming is 18+ or 21+, with photo ID checked at the door.
- Wear your badge at all times. Names aren't printed on badges, and a lost badge has to be bought again, so writing your name and phone number on it helps.
- No bikes, skateboards, Heelys or hoverboards, no laser pointers, and no sleeping in the halls. Selfie sticks only in the cosplay photoshoot area.
- The Youma Youth room for kids and families is in Room 320, Friday to Sunday.

Money: cash and cards
- Many vendors take cards, but Youmacon suggests bringing some cash too.
- Badges bought at the con can be paid in cash, by card or with Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.
Cosplay and props
- Take every prop weapon to the Prop Check table by the Joe Louis statue for a security check before you go in.
- Props must be under 6 feet 6 inches. No live steel, nothing sharp or spiked, nothing that fires (Nerf and airsoft included), no realistic guns, and no real blunt weapons like bats or nunchaku.
- Toy guns need an orange tip and can't fire or have a moving trigger. Chains up to 36 inches; bows with loose or no strings and untipped fake arrows; lightsabers are fine, but no lightsaber battles indoors.
- No mock fights or sword play. Weapons bought in the Marketplace stay boxed and go straight to your car or hotel.
- Costumes are welcome and optional; keep them tasteful and wear shoes in public areas.

Quiet rooms and help
- The Quiet Room (Room 338) is open to everyone who's overstimulated or needs a rest or a medication break, no identifier needed. Keep it quiet; food only for medical needs, and drinks with a lid.
- Its hours are planned as Friday 11am to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm.
- Feel unsafe or need help? Find any Youmacon staff member or venue security; staff are all over the building.
Safety and LGBTQ+ fans
- Youmacon's code of conduct bans harassment, including degrading jokes or judgments about gender identity and expression, sexual identity or sexual orientation, and deliberate, persistent misgendering.
- Cosplay is not consent: ask before taking anyone's photo or video.
- Report harassment, discrimination or violence to any crew member or security. If someone is in danger right now, call 911.
