Images and credits
ConAlly is a free, independent planner for fan conventions. To help fans find the people and works they love, we show pictures that come from public sources. Here’s where they come from, and how to ask us to change or remove one.
Guest photos are shown as given (we don’t crop or edit them) and come from one of three places:
- Wikimedia Commons, under a free licence (CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC0 or public domain), with the author and licence shown with the photo.
- A con’s own photo of the guest, from its guest list. It can also show on the guest’s page and at their other cons.
- The guest’s own published headshot: one the guest publishes themselves to promote their work, on their official site or press page, or their verified Instagram or X. We credit the photographer when they’re named.
Character pictures are small stills or in-game pictures from the work each guest is credited for, to show which role they played.
Covers of games, shows, films and books come from their Wikipedia pages, to identify the work.
Con logos identify each con. We’re not affiliated with any con, studio or publisher, and their names, logos and artwork belong to their owners.
Is one of these yours? If you’re the guest, the photographer or the rights holder and you’d like a picture changed, credited differently or taken down, send us a message. Tell us the page, which picture, and how you’re connected to it. We take it down within two days, no questions asked, from every page it appears on (not only the one you saw), and keep it from coming back. If you’d like a credit instead, tell us how you’d like it written.
Descriptions are quoted word for word from the guest’s own site, the con, or Wikipedia, with a link to where each came from.
